The training enabled the student to apply the principles learned from the university as well as the usage of some equipment. In the Production Department, she was allowed to join some processing operations while she conducted physico-chemical analysis of the raw and processed products in the Quality Control Department. She was able to identify some problems related to processing and offered some recommendations to improve the existing production lines. The plant practice gave the student an overview of the role of a food technologist in a food processing company.
