The student was assigned to different tasks to be able to observe the different processing activities inside the plant. The student took part in the finishing, packaging, monitoring, and inspection of processed fruit products. Some problems were observed in the plant and recommendations are given in this report. The student understood the importance of fruit and nut processing and the application of the concepts, principles and theories of food science. The student learned the necessity of intermingling with coworkers in the plant and adapting to their different personalities. In addition, the student also gained knowledge of the different responsibilities of a food technologist in the food processing industry.
